MIST MISTINGS Hays Esterbrook was a Portland visitor Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Win. M. ltosa were Portland visitors Monday. A. S. Harrison and wife motored to Portland on Wednesday. M. E. They report exceedingly hot weather and were glad to get back to balmy Oregon. Williams & Hall Co. advertised a special sale of watermelons in llio Mist, and Saturday they sold 2, -tot) pounds and the stock was exhausted by 7 o'clock in tho evening, other wise they could have sold a half ton more. The Oregon Retail Grocers' Asso ciation has incorporated and will hold its first meeting in Pendleton, September 21-23. A. H. Harrison of this city is one of the incorporat es. Dr. S. B. Hoskins, who has had charge of Dr. Dinham's office during the latter's absence in Kansas City for several weeks past, left for his "home in Forest Grove Tuesday. Dr. Hoskins is not only skilled in his profession but is a clever gentleman and one who made many friends dur ing his Etay in our city who will re gret his departure.
