Sosiety. ALMOST PURSWAOED. We almost nearly succeeded in pro curing a new subscriber last week Clem Walker dropped In to the Bugle Office and said he had been thlnkln slnurly of subscrlbln for the last 7 or 8 years end we told Clem that If he wanted a up-to-times paper which would give htm all the news of the world and adjacent ter ritory, he ought to pay us $1.60 and have the Bugle come to his home every week. In order to further convince Clem of the merit of the Bugle, we told him there wasn't nothin better to tie up packages In, start Area with on cold winter mornings or to spread on the kitchen cupboard shelves thnn back numbers of the Bugle. Apdles to Pick. I desire to state to the pub lick that I have in my orchard about 50 bushels of apples more or less on the trees, which I will offer to be picked on the shares or for sale, just as they hang on the trees. The reason I do this is because I am so all rammed up with work, that I haint got no time to pick these apples myself, and as a result they are getting ripe fast, and the ground is covered with them to sich an extent that my hogs, which I have turned in to the orchard, have most , busted theirselves eatin. If you want apples see me immejit. No others need apply, because whatever is did must be did at oncet. I will take 25 cents per bushel for these apples on the trees, as you pick them or if you want to pick them on the shares. I will give you one bushel for every three you pick for me.
