Many Important Orders Mntle ami a Long List of Claims Ordered I'uid. On this 2nd day of June, 1915, conies on for hearing the claim of P. A. Frakes of Scappoose, Oregon, for indemnity In the sum of Thirty-seven and 60-100 Dollars, for one register ed Holsteln cow, over two years old, slaughtered by the State Live Stock Sanitary Board, under Chapter 14, General Laws of 1913, and it appear ing to the Court from the certificates and affidavits on file relating thereto, that said animal was slaughtered on the 6th day of April. 1915, at the plant of Schle8sher Bros, at Kenton, Columbia Slough, uuder the supervis ion of E. E. Chase, U. S. inspector, and that said claimant has complied with all the provisions of said Chapter 14, General Laws of 1913, it is there fore ordered by the Court that said claim be, and the same Is hereby al lowed. It is further ordered by the Court that the Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized and instructed to issue a General Fund warrant in favor of said P. A. Frakes, in the sum of Eighteen and 75-100 Dollars (118.75), being one-half of said sum so allowed as such indemnity. It is further ordered by the Court that the Clerk prepare and transmit to the Secretary of State, a certified copy of this order. On this day the report of the Board of County Road Viewers on the Hen ry Krata road was read in open court the first time. On this 2nd day of June, 1915, conies on for hearing the petition of Chas. Burgdorfer and twenty-four others, freeholders, residing in the road district or districts of said road, praying for the vacation of a portion of the South Scappoose Creek road, described as follows: Beginning at a stake marked "A," which is located 30 rods east of the common corner to Sections 9, 10, 15, and 16, T. 3 N., R. 2 West, thence running in a westerly direction 64 rods to a stake marked "B." and thence in a southwesterly direction 40 rods, to and terminating at a stake marked "C," which is set at the in tersection of the present county road, and is distant 295 rods east and 80 rods south of the Northwest corner of said Sec. 16. And it satisfactorily appearing to the Court from proof filed herein, that due notice of the pendency of this proceeding has been given as by law required, that twelve of Bald petiti oners are legal freeholders of this county, residing in the road district or districts of the proposed road, and that a good and sufficient bond has been given and filed herein; It is therefore ordered by the Court that the Board of County Road View ers meet at Scappoose, Oregon, on the 14th day of June, 1915, or on their failure to meet on said day, then within five days thereafter, and pro ceed to view, survey and report to the Court the advisability of the va cation of said described road. On this day the Clerk presents to the Court his report of scalp boun ties paid during the month of May, 1915, as authorized by Sec. 5747 5761, Lord's Oregon Laws and sub sequent acts of the Legislative As sembly, showing the number and amount of warrants drawn, the names of the persons to whom issued and the date and number of each warrant, being as follows: May 3, No. 112, to Emil Johnson, in the sum of $4.00; May 12, No. 231, to Stanley Thomas, in the sum of $4.00; May 12, No. 232, to F. Floeter, In the sum of $4.00; May 24, No. 235, to J. C. Girt, in the sum of $4.00; May 29, No. 239, to Claud Rathbun, in the sum of $2.00; May 29, 1915, No. 240, to F. W. Floeter, in the sum of $12.00. And the Court being advised in the matter, it Is ordered by the Court that said report be, and the same is hereby approved. Matter of Bids for Improvement of Portion of (old) Lindberg Road. This matter having heretofore, on the 22nd day of May, 1915, come on for consideration by the Court upon the bids for improving a portion of the (old) E. J. Lindberg Road, as heretofore advertised,, being as fol lows: Seth M. Hall and M. Doran, for the sum of $3476.00. E. J. Lindberg, for the Bum of $3738.00. And the Court having reserved its decision for further consideration, now on this 2nd day of June, 1915, the Court being fully advised, it is ordered by the Court that the bid of Seth M. Hall and M. Doran, for the sum of $3476.00, be, and the same is hereby accepted. It is further or dered by the Court that a contract be entered into for the faithful perform ance of the same. On tills day the County Roadmas ter presents to the Court his plnns and specifications for certain road improvements in Road District No. 8, designated "Perry Road," and In Road District No. 3, designated as "Canaan Road," and the Court being advised in the matter, it is ordered by the Court that said plans and specifications be, and the same are hereby approved, and that call for bids for performing such work be published in two successive issues of the St. Helens Mist, and the Rainier Review, and that such bids be open ed at 2 o'clock P. M. on the 19th day of June, 1916. On this day Crandall & Roberts, Accountants and Auditors, present to the Court their report on the 1914 tax rolls to May 23, 1916. thowlng the amount of moneys collected by the County Treasurer as Tax Collect or and the balance uncollected to be charged to the Sheriff as Tax Col lector after May 22, 1916, and the Court being advised in the matter, It is ordered by the Court that said re port be, and the same is hereby ap proved. Cm this day it is ordered by the Court that the Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized and instructed to issue a General Fund warrant in the sum of $15.00, in favor of Carrie Hngey, as county aid, and a like war rant on the first day of each month hereafter until the further order of the Court. On this day it is ordered by the Court that the Clerk be, and he Is hereby authorized and instructed to issue a General Fund warrant in the sum of $10.00, in favor of MrsJas. Rowley, for care of Mrs. Julia Mat thews, and a like warrant on the first day of each month hereafter until the further order of the Court. On this 2nd day of June, 1915, It is ordered by the'Court that the Clerk be, and he is hereby instructed to issue a General Fund warrant in the sum of $600.00, in favor of Colum bia County Fire Patrol association, as an appropriation to be used by said association in protecting prop erty from forest fires. Thursday, June 3, 1915. On this day, based upon the peti tion of R. B. Magruder apd others, it is ordered by the Court that the Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized and Instructed to issue a General Fund warrant in the sum of $15.00, In favor of Andrew Karl, as county aid, and a like warrant on the first day of each month hereafter, until the further order of the Court. On this day it is ordered by the Court that the allowance heretofore ordered by the Court in the sum of $20.00 per month for aid to Mikina G. Olsen, be and the same is hereby increased to the sum of $25.00 per month, until the further order of the Court. Matter of Petition of H. Kratz, et al., for a County Road. On this day this matter coming on to be heard upon the second read ing of the report of the Board of County Road Viewers, which said re port was publicly read on two differ ent days of this term of Court, and no remonstrance or petition for dam ages in the sum of aagfsa4off-a4w ages being filed, the Board of Road Viewers reporting damages in the sum of $15.00 in favor of G. P. Hiatt, and favoring the establishment of said road, and the Court being satis fied that such road will be of public utility, it is ordered by the Court that said report, survey, profile and plat be recorded in suitable books kept for that purpose, and from thenceforth said road shall be a pub lic highway. It is further ordered by the Court that the road supervisor in whose district said road is located, shall open the same for public travel. It is further ordered by the Court that the Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized and Instructed to issue a General Fund warrant in the sum of $15.00 In favor of G. P.
