"To the Honorable County Court of Columbia County: "W ,ethe undersigned as a Board of Arbitration in the matter of George Wilson and Effie Wilson, his wife, hereby agree on thes um of Six Hundred Dollars s compensation in full for highway right of way for the Pittsburg highway. B. J. KEELAN. FRANK BROWN. V. W. CLARK." And the Court being advised in the matter, it Is ordered that the said report bo adopted. It is furthor ordered by the Court that on the presentation of a deed, duly executed and approved by the Court, a warrant be Issued on the Pittoburg-St. Helens Bond Fund, in said sum, in favor of said parties. On this 7th dcy of December, 1914, it appearing to the Court, that in accordance with that certain res olution of tho County Court, made and adopted on tho 2nd day of Oct ober, 1913, certain surveys, known and designated as Tho Nehalem Highway, Tho Mist-Clatskanio High way and the Plttsburg-St. Helens Highway, have beon made under the direction and supervision of the State Highway Engineer and duly approved by said State Highway En gineer, and the Court being advised in the matter, it Is ordered by the Court that all of such surveys be, and the same are hereby approved by the Court, as tho same appear de lineated upon tho maps tnd plata thereof now on filo in the office of the County Clerk of Columbia County. In the matter of surveys for per amnent roads, made under the direc tion of the State Highway Engineer. State ot Oregon, County of Columbia. Whereas, in compliance with a re- ' quest of this County Court contained In Resolution dated October 2nd, 1913, the State Highway Engineer has made a survey of the Columbia Highway through this county and has filed with this Court a map showing the located line thereof from Clatsop County line to Mult nomah County line, and Whereas,, said location has been mado without crossing the S. P. & S. Railway, thus eliminating several I very dangerous crossings 'n the county, and Whereas, it is at this time de sirable to have officially established the Columbia County section of the highway extending from Pendleton on the east o the Pacific Ocean on the west, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Court of Columbia County, that it does hereby adopt the said survey and maps of the Sate Highway En gineer as the official location of the Columbia Highway in Columbia County. Whereupon, Court adjourned until Tuesday, Decen ber 8, 1914. Tuesday, December 8, 1914, Sixth Judicial Day. Court came pursuant to adjourn ment. Officers all present. Due proclamation being tup.da, the following iroceedlngs were had: Matter of damage to Dutch Can yon Road, occasioned by heavy loads. On this 8th day of December, 1914, it appearing to the Court that certain Improved publio highway known and designated as the "Dutch Canyon Road," in the vicinity ot Scappoose, is being damaged by certain persons in hauling heavy loads of timbers over and upon said improved public highway, and that the wagons upon which said loads are hauled are being ex tended to an excessive length, there by causing additional damege to said highway, it is therefor ordered by the Court that the weight ot any such load, hauled upon any vehicle having tires of a width of four In ches less, shall not exceed 3,000 pounds, and that such vehicle shall not be extended to a greater length than 16 feet. It Is further ordered by Jhe Court that a copy ot this order, duly cer tified by the Clerk ot this Court, shall be served upon the person or persons, firms or corporations, so damaging said Improved publio highway, by the Bherlff of the coun ty, and immediately thereafter the said sheriff shall make his return of service to the said county clerk. In the matter ot transfer of funds. On this 8th day of December. 1914, it is ordered by the Court that the Treasurer be and he is horeby authorized and Instructed to trans fer the sum of S4.293.15 from tlK3 General Road Fund, to the Ml it Clatskanle Highway Bond Fund.
