posed road, praying for the re
location of the J. P. West road, de-
acribed aa follows:
Heginning at a rock aet in the
center of West street in the town
of Scappooae, said rock being the
beginning point of the present es
tablished county mad, known aa
the J. 1'. West road: (and re-locat-ingsaid
road) and from said rock
running westerly along the center
line of said road as now opened and
traveled and vacating all of said
former survey not embraced in this
petition and to a stake marked "B"
and from thence on most practical
route westerly to a stake marked
"C" for a terminating point; aaid
point being in the center of said J.
P. West road.
Said road as re-located and es
tablished to be forty feet in width,
and all portions of the J. P. West
road aa surveyed and in conflict with
this road as re-located to be va
cated. And it satisfactorily appearing to
the court from proof filed herein
that due notice of the pendency of
this proceeding has been given as
by law required, that twelve of said
petitioners are legal freeholders of
this county, residing in the road
district or districts of the proposed
road and that a good and sufficient
bom'has been given and filed here
in; It is therefore ordered by the
court that the board of county road
viewers meet at Scappooae, Oregon,
on the 11th day of June, 1913. or
on their failure to meet on said day
then within five days thereafter,
and proceed to view, survey and
locate aaid proposed road.
Matter of cancellation of certifi
cate of delinquency No. 139:
On this day this matter coming
on for consideration by the court,
and it appearing to the court from
the statement of the assessor, and
the records, that certificate of de
linquency No. 139, issued to A. E.
Butts in lieu of certificate No. 100,
covering tidelands fronting Scott
street in Giltners Add. to Columbia
City, as assessed to Columbia &
Nehalem Valley R. R., should be
cancelled for the reason that the
property described therein is owned
by Geo. W. McBride, and so as
sessed and taxes thereon fullv rm'd,
it is ordered by the court thn: he
Sheriff be and he is hereby nrfi'd
to cancel said certificate of rtin
quency No. 139.

Matter of appropriation for
Columbia County Fair Association:
On this day it is ordered by the
court that the clerk be and he is
hereby authorized and instructed to
issue a warrant on the general fund
in the sum of $600 in favor of the
Columbia County Fair Association,
in payment of the appropriation
heretofore, on May 10, 1913, made
to said association.
Whereupon, court adjourned un
til Tnursday, June 6, 1913.

reading of the report of the board
of county road viewers, and the
court not being fully advised in the
matter, it is ordered by the court
that said petition be and the same
is hereby continued until Saturday,
June 7, 1913.
Matter of petition of J. R. Head
lee et al for a county road:
On this day this matter coming
on to be heard upon the second
reading of the report of the board
of county road viewers, which said
report was publicly read on two
different days of this term of court
and no remonstrance or petition for
damages being filed, and the court
being satisfied that such road will
be of public utility, and the report
of the said viewers being favorable
thereto, It is ordered by the court
that said report, survey, profile and
plat be recorded in suitable books
kept for that purpose, and from
thenceforth said road shall be a
public highway.
It is further ordered by the court
that the road supervisor in whose
district said road is located, shall
open the same for public travel.
