As to whether not Clatskanie would be dry rwet, the County Court had no nice a a court, nor did any ,ee!.so officially who acted on he matter, but the recent de- sion of the Supreme Court has mpletely vindicated these ofli r in the stand they took. Whilo the council is on the matter of improvements niton. tion is called to another matter that could be done at smull cost and which would bo thoroujfhly appreciated by the public gener ally. The streets of the city which have been improved by grading and macadamizing should be oiled. This would pre serve the macadam and prevent the dust from blowing. Some method could be and should be devised by the council so that this much needed work would be accomplished. Some arrange ment could probably bo made ith the property owners by the city for paying at least a portion of the cost and it would certainly be a good investment for the city to purchase an oiling apparatus so that not only the roads and streets already improved could ba preserved, but improvements on other streets, when made, would be made permanent. "I know, because wagons of every make come into my shop for repairs, and Ihave a chance to see how few are Studebakers." That's the opinion of thousands of blacksmiths who know the quality of StuJebaker wagons. , The owners never regretted that they bought StuJebaktn. Tested materials, accurate workmanship insure a wagon unequaled for durability, and thia careful selec tion of wood, iron, steel, paint and varnish has been a fixed rule with the StuJebaker Company for sixty years. That is why a StuJebaker wagon runs easiest and laU longest It is built on honor.
