IN BRIEF SETA hosts free preview of modern farming film The University’s Students for the Ethical Treatment of Animals will host a screening of “Peaceable Kingdom,” a film about the toll today’s large-scale factory farming takes on farmers and animals, in 100 Willamette tonight. The 70-minute film looks at “the disparity between the storybook image of farming taught to us as children and the stark reality of today’s industrialized factory farms,” according to a SETA press release. Go to www.tribeofheart.org for more information, or e-mail seta @ uoregon.edu. — Jared Paben Motorcyclist suffers from minor injuries after fall A man fell off his motorcycle Tliesday morning, drawing multiple emergency response vehicles to the campus area at East 13th Avenue and Kincaid Street. The cyclist, whose name was not available, was parking in front of Taylor’s Bar and Grill when his mo torcycle tipped over. People nearby assisted the man, a witness said. The University Department of Public Safety was near the scene and called Eugene police. The police and fire departments responded, but the man was not taken to the hospital. The man suffered “minor in juries” and a police report was not taken, said Pam Olshanski, Eugene Police Department spokeswoman.
