thing is just having the mutual respect.
I think just with my playing experience
and then coaching for three years, hav
ing that balance has really helped me
elevate how to deal with players and
the relationships.”
The new assistant coaches will
primarily develop the strengths of
Oregon’s backcourt players. Ho said
the team’s overall balance stands
out to her both on the court and in
personal life.
“One of the most attractive things
was just the people,” Ho said. “Bev’s
accolades speak for themselves; she’s
an incredible coach. It’s a dream
come true. It’s the perfect situation,
so I’m really excited about that.”
As for the climatic change of
scenery, Brown and Ho said they
either packed an umbrella or plan to
buy one soon.
“It’s very nice to see green grass
and rain,” said Brown, who report
ed dry weather conditions in Aus
tralia. “I don’t know when I’ll get
sick of it, but that’s one of the great
things with basketball: It’s an
indoor sport.”

indoor long and triple jump records
with jumps of 25 feet, 11 inches and
52-10 1/4, respectively.
In the 2005 outdoor season, Wat
son is ranked in the top five nation
ally in both events. The St. Louis
native finished top-three in both the
Pac-10 conference meet and the Re
gionals. Watson ranks fourth all
time on Oregon’s outdoor lists in
both events.
Fellow senior Inico took home the
Perry Hollman (Most Improved Ath
lete) Award. The Queens, N.Y., native
has had arguably one of the best in
dividual seasons in 2005. Inico’s run
started during the indoor season
when he set indoor school records in
the 200 and as part of the 4x400 relay
squad. Both feats earned him All
American honors.
Inico’s success continued into the
championship part of Oregon’s
schedule as the senior has taken the
400 title in both the Pac-lOs and last
week’s Regionals, vaulting him into
third on Oregon’s all-time 400 list.
Logsdon was given the Bill
Dellinger Cross Country Award after
leading the Ducks in the West Re
gional last fall and ranking second on
the squad in multiple meets. Logsdon
has earned multiple All-American
honors and is a three-time Pac-10 Sec
ond Team honoree.
