Jackson suffers injury
in summer league
Former Oregon forward Luke Jack
son suffered a calf injury while play
ing in the NBA's summer league in Las
Vegas this past Friday, the Cleveland
Plain Dealer reported.
Jackson, the Cleveland Cavaliers'
first-round draft pick, was playing
for Cleveland's summer league team
in preparation for the upcoming
NBA season, which begins in Octo
ber. The specifics of Jackson's injury
are unreported.
The Cavaliers said team physician
Dr. Richard D. Parker of Cleveland
Clinic Sports Health will assess the in
jury for a right calf strain, according to
the Plain Dealer.
The team said Jackson will not re
turn to Las Vegas for the remainder of
the summer league season.
Cleveland selected Jackson 10th
overall iti June's NBA Draft and
signed him to a three-year contract
earlier this month.
The Creswell native averaged 21.6
points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists
per game in his senior year at
Oregon, leading the Ducks in all
three categories.

Feldberg eventually decided that
getting an education was important
after his disc golf career. Along with
Jenkins, he decided on four options:
Oregon, the University of Colorado,
the University of San Francisco, the
University of Nevada.
Both of them applied and got ac

matriculate here. Jenkins is also a

"We heard [EugeneJ was fun," Feld

Frisbee golf courses around and we
knew that there was a big

As a full-time student, Feldberg is
involved in the Science of Teaching

Mathematics department.
"The University offers a program
where you develop the science of
teaching and you teach the teachers
theory," Feldberg said.
"Teachers are taught before they

Feldberg is focused on winning the
PDGA Professional Disc Golf World
Championships and realizes the
margin of error in disc golf is very
small, much like ball golf.
"I've been playing decent, but I
played better earlier this year," Feld
berg said. "One stroke always makes a
difference in the end."
