Theft and recoveries
The Department of Public Safety re
ceived one report of bike theft from the
Hamilton Complex, two requests for
bike impounds and two reports of
stolen property. DPS also received two
found property reports, three reports of
burglary and six reports of larceny.
Disorderly conduct
DPS received one report of disorderly
conduct, three reports of Eugene mu
nicipal code infractions for urinating in
public and one report of an arrest. DPS
also received two reports of criminal
trespass, seven reports of a suspicious
condition, one report of a suspicious
subject and three reports ofvandalism.
Alcohol and drugs
DPS received two reports of drug
law violations, two reports of subjects
in use or possession of less than 1
ounce of marijuana and three reports
of public drinking.
Friday, Jan. 23, 10:27 p.m.: DPS
received a report of the smell of mar
ijuana coming from the second floor
of Cloran Hall in the Hamilton
Complex.
Miscellaneous
DPS received one emergency call
report, eight alarm reports, one
report of a traffic offense and one
report of skateboard stunting. DPS
also received 11 towing requests: five
from the UO Annex parking lot, one
from the Pacific Hall parking lot,
two from the Prince Lucien
Campbell parking lot, one from
McArthur Court, one from the
Student Health Center staff lot and
one from the Walton Complex.

campaign in the next six days in all
seven states that hold primaries and
caucuses next Tuesday and would
start running television ads in all of
them Wednesday.

Edwards is starting his next phase
in South Carolina, where he was bom
and where he has said he must win to
stay in the race. But in a bid to dis
place Dean as Kerry's main rival, he
planned to head to Oklahoma for a
stop in Tulsa and to Springfield, Mo.
Aides said his campaign was hir
ing staffers in Missouri, Oklahoma
and New Mexico and had already
aired television ads in Oklahoma
and New Mexico.
Three other candidates also sched
uled visits Wednesday to Oklahoma.
Lieberman, after a stop in Delaware,
was headed for McAlester and Okla
homa City. Rep. Dennis Kucinich of
Ohio, once more in low single digits
here, was also planning to visit Ok
lahoma.
And Clark, who flew to South Car
olina on Tuesday night, will head for
Tulsa and then go on to Arizona and
New Mexico. 1 le made an early depar
ture from New Hampshire after polls
showed an end to the brief spurt he
enjoyed while most of the field was
occupied in Iowa.
