Boarding continued from page 5B members as well as students. Similar to the residence halls, The SunSpot and The Spot have community bathrooms, common areas and dining rooms. However, the single person rooms come in multi ple sizes and are a little larger than the standard residence hall rooms. In addition to the bigger bedrooms, The SunSpot offers students a desk and bed, as well as meals cooked by an in house chef. “(The houses) have a smaller, more intimate set ting than the dorms, with a convenient location across the street from campus," Frichette said. Sophomore Annie Klug said the greatest benefit of living at The SunSpot is its proximity to campus. “I also have a lot of freedom,” she said. “We have a resident manager who makes sure we’re OK, but I can do pretty much whatever I want.” Frichette said that many students choose to live in the ' boarding houses when the res idence halls are already full. This was the case for fresh „ man Christin Haehl. “I didn’t get into the dorms, so my mom called the greek office, and they re ferred us to The SunSpot,” Frichette said. She said the boarding houses are an easy place to make friends. “Because all of the meals are put out at the same time, every one comes together and eats,” she said. “Even if people keep to themselves, they still have to eat some time. There is also a "We have a resident manager who makes sure we're OK, but I can do pretty much whatever / want" Annie Klug sophomore living room where people can watch TV together.” At The SunSpot, rooms are $195 to $375 a month during the summer and $600 to $745 for the rest of the year. Rooms at The Spot run from about $345 to $400 a month during fall, winter and spring. — Sabrina Gowette for the Emerald 016702 15th & Olive 95 W. 15th Ave. - 484-5633 LOCATION, LOCATION! • Studios & 1 Bedroom Lofts • Complimentary Covered Parking • Walking Distance to U of O, Downtown, and New Library • Secured Bike Storage • On-Site Laundry Care Centers Professionally Managed by BENNETT MANAGEMENT COMPANY, LCC 016440 Great Values! • 1 & 2 bEdROOM STARTiNq AT $550 (faLI rates) • HARdwood floORS • COMplETEly REMOdEUd • Across fROM pARk • ONly 2.5 MilES fROM CAMPUS • Oim bus & bikE pATh CALL NOW FOR FALL RESERVATIONS 744'4619 016305 STUDENTS We ship your stuff home!
