The Ducks and Beavers swept Wash ington in Seattle for the first time in Pac 10 history, beginning with the Beavers’ win Friday, continuing with Oregon’s 6-5 win Saturday and ending with the Ducks’ 6-5 win Sunday. Washington (40-13-1 overall, 7-11 Pac 10) is 2-8 in its last 10 games. Two days before losing to the Beavers, the Huskies also lost to No. 2 UCLA. Score one for the Golden Bears California earned its first Pac-10 weekly award this season when catcher Courtney Scott was named Player of the Week on Tuesday. The Golden Bears were the only program to not have either a player or pitch er given an individual award this season. For the first time this season, two pitchers shared the conference’s Pitcher of the Week award.
