Sensuous sol-journ An odd winter of warm temperatures, sunny days and little snow in the mountains cannot keep students from hitting the slopes, as two Emerald photographers discovered during their sojourn to the Cascades. Armed with tubes and boards, winter sport enthusiasts bathed in the warmth of the sun's penetrating rays during the Bend Winter Fest weekend at Mt Bachelor. Activities such as snowman building, tube races, and a free-ski day on Jan. 31 kept all participants in a festive mood.
