Students looking for ways to
avoid the shrinking job market
when they graduate might want to
consider teaching abroad in coun
tries such as China, a nation with a
blossoming economy.
“I think there are a lot of opportu
nities in China right now, particular
ly for those who speak English,” said
Lenore Szekely, a third-year East
Asian languages and literature mas
ter’s student.
“Living somewhere that may be a
lot different than what you’re used to
can be a character-building experi
ence,” said Szekely, who has visited
China twice.
