The statistics prove that when
Oregon can hold on to the ball and
win the rebounding margin,
chances are they will win. The
Ducks dominated both statistics in
their first two exhibition games and
against Gonzaga, all games which
turned in Oregon’s favor.

senior Alissa Edwards said. “In
practice we need to start rebound
ing and have the offense go after
the boards, because that will carry
it over into the game.”

Defense doesn’t always
win the game
When the season began, Oregon
couldn’t miss.
The two 100-plus point killings in
exhibition games established the
Ducks as an offensive powerhouse.
But lately, Oregon has found itself
in a slump and can’t seem to find the
hoop. The Ducks haven’t managed
to put 50 points on the board since
the loss to Green Bay on Tuesday
the 26th.
The Ducks have lost the point
margin 200-140, including the game
against Wisconsin and in the Par
adise Jam.
“We are not making our shots,”
Edwards said. “We have gotten
down on ourselves a couple of
times, we just need to keep on
shooting the ball because that is
the only way you are going to score
the points.”
Oregon is averaging 55.8 points
per game this season, far below last
season’s average of 68.4.

Horoscope by Linda C. Black
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Dec. 4). You'll use the
things you already know this year, plus what
ever you discover, to make big changes.
Things will never be the same, so don't let it
happen by accident. Figure out what you
want to accomplish. The Force is with you.
To get the advantage, check the day's rating:
10 is the easiest day, 0 the most challenging.
ARIES (March 21-April 19) _ Today is a 9 _
Leave your old limitations, and maybe your
old neighborhood, behind. Reach out for
something you've always wanted to know.
You can have it all if you try. Well, almost.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20) _ Today is a 5 _
Don't be obsessive about money. You don't
need more of it; you need to figure out how
to spend less but still get everything you
need. This is possible.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21) _ Today is a 7 _
There are a few points that you feel you must
make. Something that you had to learn
through experience is being overlooked.
Contribute, but don't block a worthy effort.
CANCER (June 22-July 22) _ Today is a 5 _
Have two or three backup plans and an exit
route in mind. Things may not exactly go
wrong, but they're not likely to go as expect
ed, either. Lock sharp!
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) _ Today is an 8 _
You're usually the one who gets things start
ed, but now it could be somebody else’s turn.
Don't fret _ you're a major object of affection.
You can't lose.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) _ Today is a 5 _
The more you get into it, the more you dis
cover that needs to be done. There is an end
to it, so don't freak.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) _ Today is a 9 _
When you get interested in a new subject,
you don't want to do anything else. That's
how you learn, so stop thinking about it. Just
do it!
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) _ Today is a 5 _
The money could be slipping away like sand
through your fingers. Even if you start with a
lot, it won't last if you don't get a grip. Or a
bucket.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) _ Today is a
9 _ You're great at getting the message
across, but don't tip your hand. There's no
reason to tell all you know, and there are a
couple of good reasons why you shouldn't.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) _ Today is a 5
_ There are so many things on your list, how
will you get them all done? Your superpow

Prayer is a requirement, not a suggestion.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) _ Today is an 8
_ You're have a knack for getting a lot of peo

good, because they could use your leader
ship and planning, abilities.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20) _ Today is a 5 _
You can't do or provide everything everybody
wants, though you're probably trying.
Lighten up and just do what you can.
