Anything for charity

Members of University fraternities sang their hearts out
Thursday night to raise money for charity at Chi Omega
sorority’s second annual “Kasanovas” of Karaoke
philanthropy.
About 600 students from the University greek system turned
out for the event, which raised approximately $2000 to be
donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation, an organization that
grants wishes to seriously ill children.
Like contestants on the MTV show “Say What? Karaoke,”
groups from each fraternity competed against each other as
representatives from University sororities judged which had

the best lip-synching rendition.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is supported by the Chi Omega
national organization, and all philanthropies the sorority
sponsors benefit the charity, member Erica Hetfeldsaid.
“We’ve done lots of activities with the Make-A-Wish
Foundation over the years,” she said. “It’s a really rewarding
experience for our house. ”
Each member of the winning fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, will
receive a free car wash from the women of Chi Omega.
