Lane County Community Corrections Parole and Probation supervises over
3000 offenders in Lane County placed on probation by the court or released
on parole by the state or local parole board. This organization works in
collaboration with local law enforcement authorities, the courts, parole
board, Service to Children and Families, and treatment providers. Officers
are expected to be balanced in their supervision efforts, able to move within
the supervision continuum (enforcement or treatment) depending on the

The Oregon Police Corps is a scholarship and training program offering
scholarships of up to $30,000 to students pursuing a four-year degree.
Following graduation participants attend a law enforcement training
academy and complete 4 years of paid service as a police officer with a
police or sheriffs office in Oregon.

Internal Revenue Agent: An Internal Revenue Agent is a professional
accountant and must meet comprehensive qualification requirements.
Internal Revenue Agents examine and audit individual, business and
corporate tax returns to determine correct federal tax liabilities and/or
conduct examinations relating to compliance with technical requirements
imposed by the Internal Revenue Code. Internal Revenue Officer: The
incumbent serves as an entry-level Revenue Officer trainee with
responsibility for developing basic skills in resolving examination and
collection issues ot the Small Business/Seif-Employed customers. Tax
Specialist: The incumbent serves as an entry-level Tax Specialist trainee
with responsibility for developing basic skills in resolving examination and
collection issues of the Wage and Investment or Small Businesses.
Adult Parole and Probation Officer: An adult parole and probation
officer provides supervision and investigative services to offenders for
intensive supervision by releasing authorities; conducts specific types of
investigations and prepares written reports; plans, develops, implements
and monitors client progress while in treatment; prepares and maintains
accurate and current case records for each offender; prepares progress
reports on each individual; identifies drug and alcohol problems; works in jq0
conjunction with law enforcement agencies, employers, employees, family
members and public agencies to resolve problems; and acts as liason with
the public, parole boards and other agencies' partners, and participants.
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in in a Behavioral Science, Oregon Driver's
License and must be ceritified by the Oregon Department of Public Safety
and Standards within one year of being appointed.
