Question:
Shall student incidental fees be
allocated to OSPIRG (the Oregon
Student Public Interest Research
Group) at an approximate rate of
S2.88 per student term for a total
of S 144,426 for the 2001-2002
school year?
Explanation
Students currently fund OS
PIRG at an approximate rate of
$2.88 per student per term for a
total of $ 128,000. OSPIRG is a
statewide, student-directed and
funded organization that hires re
searchers, attorneys, organizers
and other staff to run statewide
campaigns on public interest is
sues such as environmental and
consumer protection, higher edu
cation and government reform.

Question:
Should student incidental fees
be increased by approximately
$0.37 per student per term for a
total of $ 18,553.87 to establish a
cultural programming fund to
support the efforts of campus or
ganizations at the University7 of
Oregon?
Explanation:
Currently, the overall budget
for the MCC is $70,349, which is
$ 1.40 per student per term. This
allocation would raise the budget
to $88,904.87.
Background:
The Multicultural Center is
committed to supporting various
unions and organizations that
support the mission of diversity.
This cultural programming fund
would support unions and organ
izations that provide diverse
speakers, events, and educational
programs open and free to all stu
dents.
