Amcricorps is the nstionsl service program that provides community service opportunities across the country.
Oversees VISTA, NCCC and hundreds of other programs locally and nationally.
Nestled on 160 acres along the Tuolumne River near Yosemite NP, Tawonga strives to empower children in a i
way that helps them connect with their community, the natural world and Judaism. EOE employer.
City Year is a national, non-profit organization that is also part of AmeriCorps. City Year members complete a
10 month program focused on providing community service on a full-time basis. Members complete service in
elementary and middle schools, community centers and city-wide programs (run by City Year). The service
commitment is from late August through the following June. City Year members come from all over the United
States and are between the ages of 17 to 24 years of age. All members receive a weekly stipend (amount varies byj
site) and upon graduation, a $4,725 educational award usable for higher educational costs.
