Army ROTC salutes today’s exemplary cadets who keep their eyes on today’s
triumphs and set the stage for tomorrow’s successes.

COURTNEY WHITE
Ohio University
Courtney White, Cadet Battalion Commander for Ohio University's Bobcat Battalion, currently
has a 4.0 GPA in her Military Science classes and a cumulative GPA of 3.78 as a Broadcast
Journalism major in the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. As a 4-year National Army ROTC
Scholarship recipient, she proves that hard work and dedication pays off. Her academic
honors include being inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society as well
as the Golden Key Honor Society and appearing on the Dean's List every quarter of enrollment
in college. Cadet White was among 30 cadets across America selected to represent the United
States Army Cadet Command during training operations in the United Kingdom. She was also
one of 17 cadets selected to serve at the Pentagon as cadet interns. While excelling in ROTC
and academics, Cadet White has found time to volunteer for numerous humanitarian causes
as well as being an ideal role model for the Ohio University ROTC program.
MILES CARY
West Virginia State College
As a junior at West Virginia State College, Miles Cary commands a ROTC company a
position usually reserved for seniors but given to Cadet Cary based on his demonstrated
leadership abilities. He is involved in several mentorship and youth leadership programs, as
well as an active leader within the congregation of the First Church of Christian Science. He
serves on the Executive Cabinet, All College Council, Legislative Affairs Council, NAACP and
was vice president for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Cadet Cary has earned a 3.6 cumulative
GPA in English/Criminal Justice and six consecutive mentions on the Dean's List. He has
received numerous academic honors, including the Sphinx Magazine Historic Edition Award,
Sullivan Hall Scholar and the Military Order of World Wars Award. Elected as junior class
president, his involvement on the Student Government Association earned him an
. appointment as the WVSC Ambassador to South Africa.

REGINA ROCHA
University of Louisville
Regina Rocha is a senior attending the University of Louisville, with a 3.5 cumulative GPA in her
major, Psychology. She is currently a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, Psi
Chi and Phi Theta Kappa. Ranger Challenge, Officer Christian Fellowship, the Army Ten-Miler
and the Bataan Death March re-creation in White Sands, New Mexico, are among the
numerous activities in which Cadet Rocha has participated. Through ROTC, she was also given
the opportunity to attend Airborne School and earn her "jump wings." With no prior military
experience, Cadet Rocha has transitioned well into ROTC and aspires to become and officer in
the United States Army. >
