Tke £Ml\ C-raft Center is a comprehensive Arts Program
offering well equipped facilities and workshops in most areas of the
Visual Arts. The program is both educational and recreational,
encouraging all levels of interest, from beginning hobbyist to serious
artist. Our intimate, informal workshops are taught by accomplished
artists and crafts people. The emphasis is on high quality individual
instruction designed to encourage you to pursue your creative side.
Most workshops are offered in the late afternoon or evening to fit your
class or work schedule. We also offer $5 introductory workshops (see
back page for listing). So, if you have an interest in art, or a favorite
hobby, the EMU Craft Center at the University of Oregon is for you.

Explore the intricacies of carving limestone
with hand and pneumatic tools. All phases of
stone carving will be covered, from roughing to
finishing. The stone used in this workshop is
salvaged from the recent EMU renovation and
offers a unique opportunity to carve a piece of
EMU history. A basic tool set (available for
purchase from the Craft Center) will be required
at a cost of aprox. $50. Limited to 7 students.
