craft center The Craft Center offers open studio areas for students, faculty, staff and Eugene community members. The Center provides well-equipped areas for ceramics, woodworking, photography, jewelry and metals, fiber arts, stained and fused glass, graphic arts and bicycle repair. Tools and equipment are available for use within the Center and supplies are sold for reasonable prices. t Workshops are offered each term in many areas and vary in length from one to eight week sessions. The workshops are intimate, informal classes offered in all studio areas of the Craft Center, and are taught by accomplished artists and crafts people. The emphasis is on quality individual instruction that is designed to encourage you to pursue your creative side. The Craft Center is located on the ground floor of the EMU. [346-4361] i erb memorial union | corner of 13th & university cultural forum The Cultural Forum is a student-run organization that sponsors a broad cross section of music, fine art and contemporary events throughout the year. These programs reflect a wide range of diversity and artistic expression. Cultural Forum programs are conceived of, initiated, negotiated, booked, promoted and carried out entirely by the student coordinators with the support of staff members. Student forum coordinators present programs in the areas of National Music, Contemporary Issues, Performing Arts, Heritage Music, Film and Video, Visual Arts, and Regional Music. The Cultural Forum also oversees three galleries housed in the EMU: Adell McMillan Gallery, Aperture Photo Gallery and the Buzz Coffeehouse Gallery. SARO personnel offer guidance to new students about the many extra curricular opportunities available to them. They assist established student groups in event programming and advise them on ASUO, EMU and University policies and procedures.
