Western Michigan
University. His work

journalism and literary
nonfiction, Carol Ann
has written for the

She has conducted
journalism workshops
in developing countries
such as Nepal, Bolivia
and Botswana, and has
written about environ
mental issues and
indigenous cultures on
three continents.
Bassett is currently at
work on a collection of
stories about nature
and culture from
around the world.
