    Teamwork pays off for the Oregon women, who pulled to
gether to survive a physical Civil War game on Friday.
Women’s season highlights
The Ducks prevailed in the Civil War to win their sec
ond-straight Pac-10 title, their first-ever outright title.
Oregon hosts the NCAA tournament for the second time
in its history, starting with UAB on Friday.
Pac-10 Player of the Year: Shaquala Williams earned
the honor after being named last season’s Pac-10 fresh
man of the year. She averaged 17.7 points per game.
Wolvert scores All-Conference: Consistency and hard
work earned forward Angelina Wolvert the first All-Con
ference honors of her career. Wolvert was the Ducks’
most steady scorer, hitting 58.5 percent from the floor.

Men’s season highlights
The Ducks finished with their most Pac-10 wins (13) of
ail time. Their 22-win total was the most wins in a single
season since 1945 and ensured the Ducks of only their
second NCA A Tournament appearance since 1961.
Scales earns First-Team All-Pac 10: The senior forward
wowed crowds across the league with his high-flying
act. He finished fourth in the conference in scoring
(16.3 ppg}, helping him acheive All-Conference honors
for the first time.
The other Coach “K”: Head coach Ernie Kent continued
his immediate success, bringing the Ducks to the post
season for the second time in three years.
