Dance for a reason

The sixth annual Dance for a Reason benefit is scheduled for Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in the South Eugene High School
Theater, 19th Avenue and Hilyard Street. The performance is designed to showcase various dance troupes in the Eugene
area, including Lane Community College’s dance program, American Indian Intertribal Dancers, Eugene Youth ballet, Chi
nese Rung Fu/Tai Chi Academy and the University Dance Department, among others. Tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for
kids 12 and under; they can be purchased at Backstage Dancewear or at the door. Proceeds help benefit the Community
Family Soup Kitchen, a non-profit organization serving in-need families in the Eugene and Springfield communities.
