Juniors, Seniors Sign Up February 7
For Local Spring Term Internships
University of Oregon Juniors and Seniors interested in
a local Spring Term internship can sign up for interviews
at the Orientation Meeting, 3:30-4:50 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Ben
Linder Room in the Erb Memorial Union.
Applicants must be in good academic standing to be
eligible for an internship with a local firm or organization
participating in the Career Center's Career Development
Internship Program (CDIP). Each eligible application can
sign up for a maximum of two interviews.
"Sign-ups will be on a first-come, first-serve bases,"
said Jen White, CDIP Coordinator. She encourages
students to come early.
At the CDIP Orientation meeting, students will get an
overview of the program, internship requirements, sign
up procedures and interview information as well as an
opportunity to sign up for two interviews.
At the Orientation Meeting students will fill out at
CDIP Intern Application Form, which will make them
eligible to interview with the participating firms. A
student may not interview without attending an
orientation.
Three make-up Orientation Meetings are scheduled.
Students may sign-up for remaining openings at the
make-up meetings or can meet individually with a CDIP
adviser.
All make-up orientation meetings will be held in
Room 12, Hendricks Hall.
The last day for sign-ups is before 9:00 a.m. Friday,
Feb. 18.
The Make-up Orientation Meeting Schedule follows:
• 3:30-4:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10
• 12:30-1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 15
• 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, Feb. 18
Employers will select their Spring Term interns after
they've completed the interviews.
Internship information notebooks complete with job
descriptions will be available starting Jan. 26 in the Career
Library in Room 244, Hendricks Hall.
A special combination resume/interview workshop,
exclusively for CDIP students, will be held from 2:00-3:30
p.m., Thursday, Feb. 17 in the Coquille Room, of the EMU
