It’s true. Other bookstores serving our campus send profits to some
Wall Street shareholders or private investors. But we don’t. That’s
because we are owned by UO students, faculty and staff.
We’re not a huge money-making machine, in fact we’re not for
profit. And because you choose to shop with us, we were able to
return to the University the following dollars this past academic year:
To University of Oregon Students: $838,000.00
from our student book discount.
To our University of Oregon; $151,000.00
from sales from our Duck Shops®
To the UO Alumni Association: 17,000.00
from our sportswear catalog sales
So keep that in mind the next time you need books, supplies,
