Ethiopic Bookbinding
Marilyn Mohr
This structure, based on ancient Coptic
and Ethiopic bindings, was developed
by book conservator and innovator
Gary Frost. The completed book looks
like a case bound book. The boards
however are actually folios of card
stock, and are sewn on as the outer
most sections of the book. The cloth
spine wrapper, cover papers, and
endsheets are attached with a mini
mum of glue. 4 hours of instruction.
