Spurred by their first win
ning football season in for
ever and last season’s 44-41 dou
ble-overtime Civil War victory,
Oregon State fans have been talk
ing trash at a rabid pace this week
in anticipation of Saturday’s
103rd edition of the War.
Sure, maybe the Beavers do
have just cause to foam at the
mouth in celebration of being
winners for the first time since
long before the average Oregon or
Oregon State Joe was around
(1970, if you’re wondering).
And we know that some of
those Beavers can’t do anything
about their drool. Things are
tough like that when you’re the il
legitimate child of your mom and
her first cousin.
But really, is there any need to
go off the hook like they have up
in Cow-Town?

further, let me just say that Duck
hating is like player-hating: Just
because we win — as we have in
