The Outreach Team, which functions as a connection be tween the student body and the Executive, plans to work on im proving relations between the student body and the Eugene Po lice Department. “Each group needs to be more informed — the police for what students need and students for why the police are here,” Com munity Outreach Director Mari an Fowler said. The Outreach Team will also work on creating a more flexible resident hall contract for stu dents living in University Hous ing. Students currently must pay $9 a day for the rest of the school year when they break their con tract.
