Just months before she made her first appearance for the Ducks, Tobbagi led Archbishop Mitty High School of San Jose, Calif., to the NorCal champi onship and a spot in the state fi nals. Tobbagi’s 10 kills and nine digs earned her all tournament recognition. Her list of prep achievements goes on. Tobbagi was two-time all-Blossom Valley Athletic League and the league’s most valuable player. She participated in three Junior Olympics. She has won several awards, includ ing Student Sports magazine All American honors. “Surprisingly, it came so easi ly,” Tobbagi said. “I didn’t have to work as hard as everyone else; it just felt so natural.” So when it came time to chose a college, Tobbagi set her sights on the Pacific-10 Conference — reputably the toughest volleyball conference in the nation.
