The first-round victory against Illinois was the first win over a ranked opponent in Butler head coach June Olkowski’s five year career. The Bulldogs return three starters from last year’s team, which posted a 25-6 overall record and a 13-1 mark in the Midwest ern Collegiate Conference. This season, Butler is led up front by se nior forward Jennifer Marlow, who leads the Bulldogs in scoring by averaging 16.8 points per game and ranks second on the team r with 4.6 rebounds per game. “Butler looks a lot like we do,” Oregon head coach Jody Runge said. “But I think we have the size to match up with their size.” One key will be Wolvert, who was named the Pepsi Shoot-Out’s most valuable player after leading the Ducks in scoring in both games of the tournament. The sopho more forward scored 13 points in Oregon’s 74-56 victory against Brigham Young in the first round, then scored a game-high 15 the following day in the Ducks' 63-33 win over Wyoming. “She’s really on a roll,” Runge said about Wolvert. “The scary thing is she still has a lot of room for improvement. She’s doing a great job both on and off the court. She’s got a great attitude as well.” Wolvert leads the Ducks with 12 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Center Jenny Mowe ranks sec ond on the team with 36 rebounds with an average of less than 18 minutes a game. Mowe has start ed just four games this season after missing nearly all of last season with tendinitis in her right knee. Mowe is expected to start both games this weekend. “It will be a difficult tourna ment,” Runge said. “Butler is play ing very well, but I expect both games to be very challenging. To come out with two wins would be a huge accomplishment." ■Authentic Chinese Cuisine RESTAURANT & LOUNGE 947 Franklin Blvd. I 0019471 343-4480 Don’t have any more DUCK BUCKS ? Don’t have a cowman...
