has not enjoyed the kind of season
he probably envisioned when he
decided to return to school instead
of entering the NFL draft last
spring. But a win in Eugene would
go a long way toward making
Huard’s season much sweeter.
Despite missing two games be
cause of a separated shoulder,
Huard has passed for 1,348 yards
and 11 touchdowns. He has aver
aged nearly 225 passing yards per
game and has an efficiency rating
of 111.1. For his career, Huard
ranks third on Washington’s all
time passing list and needs 527
yards to pass his older brother Da
mon, who ranks first.
Looker, a former high school
teammate of Brock Huard’s in
Puyallup, Wash., has developed
into the Huskies' top receiver in
his first season of game action. He
has grabbed 47 passes for 480
yards and three touchdowns.

While the passing game has
prospered in Washington’s new

has ground to a screeching halt.
The struggles of the Husky run
ning backs are illustrated by the
fact that backup quarterback Mar
ques Tuiasosopo leads the team in
rushing with 307 yards.
In his search to find a consistent
running threat, Lambright has
named Braxton Cleman his start
ing tailback for the first time.
"The thing he gives us is a little
bit more size of running strength,”
Lambright said.
A Husky win would give them
the requisite six victories required
to qualify for a postseason bowl.
