Reason 3: You have reluctantly
forgotten the 33 years since BD
went electric.
He has been plucking some of
the standards on his
Australia/New Zealand tour. If
you’ve seen BD live, though, you
know that with every different
band, he has a different sound
and a different way of making his
material evolve.
Reason 4: Everybody must get
stoned!
BD ended a Hult Center show
prematurely in 1995 when the
“atmosphere” superseded the
performance.
Dylan is performing with Van
Morrison and Lucinda Williams.
The EMU Cultural Forum is co
promoting the concert with Dou
bletee Promotions.
“We had a meeting and the
athletic department said that it’s
almost impossible to get Mac
Court between October and
March,” said cultural forum na
tional music coordinator Matt
Radochonski.
National music is also booking
for fall term, Radochonski said.
Events may include Indigo
Swing in the EMU Ballroom on
Oct. 3 and Zero Gravity, a multi
media event with movies, “ex
treme” sports, and a half-pipe on
the EMU east lawn.
The film desk at the Cultural
Forum is also busy scheduling
the weekly film series for PLC
180.
“I try to show films which
haven’t been seen elsewhere —
foreign films, wonderful older
films, and films that haven’t
made it to the big screen,” said
Vladimir K;, Cultural Forum film
coordinator. “The coolest thing is
that we’re showing ‘The Cabinet
of Dr. Caligari’ and [Jazz Studies
major] Kyle Sanna is writing the
score.”
Film schedules are available at
the Cultural Forum office across
from ASUO in the EMU. Shows
are usually Friday nights and
cost $2.
