“I haven’t felt the thrill of
smashing a pumpkin since high
school," he said. His daughter, on
the other hand, said she was sad
after smashing her pumpkin.
Riding two stories up was a
scary experience for some fans.
"I felt queasy,” Judith Fields
said, “but I am scared of heights,
so it felt I like I would fall."
Cia also agreed the lift was un
steady.
“It was fun, but it was really
wobbly,” she said.

Other fans said they were excit
ed about riding the lift.
"1 am a bored housewife here
for the cheap thrill of going up in
the air,” Shirley Verner said.
The DJs said the station is
known for its outrageous stunts.
“Last time we had a U2 freak
a-thon, where women rolled
around in horse manure to get a
free CD,” Cia said.
This event was not as disgust
ing, but Wingnut said: “There is a
lot of pumpkin mess and guts out
here.”

Jenny-O said the station plans
these events to meet its listeners
and to thank them for tuning in.
"Seeing people face-to-face is a
lot of fun,” she said.
