Hawkins Lana are scheduled to

As part of the city's commit
ment to reduce emergmu v vehi
cla response time, sensors are
being installed at both intersec
tions to detect approaching fire
trucks on emergency runs and

West 18th Avenue and
Hawkins lane will have left
turn arrows to allow a " protect
wi> permissive" turn from
westbound 18th Avenue to
southbound Hawkins lane.
This moans motorist* tan turn
left on a left-turn green arrow
while the opposite-direction
traffic is stopped Due to a rela
tively small number of motorists
making left turns at Barger Drive
and Terry Street, this signal will
not have left-turn arrows.
