volunteers to advise the Student Health Center
regarding programs, services, finances, and health
insurance.
Student advisors will spend about 1*2 hours per
week as members of the evolving Student Health
Advisory Committee (SHAQ and will guide the
Student Health Center in promoting a healthy
campus through the storm of health care reform.
Successful participants will cam an in-depth
understanding of health care delivery and its
financing, will learn about the health issues of
college students, and will develop interpersonal
skills and confidence.
Routine meetings are scheduled at 3p.m. Fridays,
allowing members to plan their class schedules
accordingly
Applications can be picked up at the
Student Health Center front desk.
Completed applications should be
submitted to the Student Health Director's
office by Tuesday, May 14.

The IMS Olympic Torch pro
cession began its tourney in
Athens On it# way to Atlanta, it
ha* been through the tome of
the greatest citie* of Europe. It
hatcrossed the ocean and will
crust this continent.
On Sunday, it lit the Olympic
spirit in Eugene
"l was really glad that I got to
tee It." taid Allison Lira, a
Eugene resident. “I'll probably

The torch, carried by Annette
Peter* along Agate Street, was
preceded by police motorcade

American record holder in the
5.000 meter run, logged with a
partner while cheering onlook

where Peters rarried the torch
once around the field in honor
