with America. This made for-Hall
mark holiday lor some reason
inspires an annual onslaught of
cheese and unnecessary public
affection.
The more I’ve asked around
about people's thoughts on “V"
Day, the more negative respons
es I've heard. The reasons range
from the ‘lonely guy" who can't buy
a date, to those that just get dis
couraged with all the emphasis on
the color red. And for those who
don't necessarily want to have
romanticism shoved in their faces,
Valentine’s Day can be a particu
larly unpleasant experience.
Me? I just enjoy not liking Valen
tine's Day so I have something to
do between my two other least
favorite days — Groundhog day
and the day after my birthday.
