The machines cart be used for word processing and as a full Internet connet lion. The com puter lah is open during all hours of library operation and is staffed by reference librarians and stu dent employees to assist com puter users. “It's a greet facility and its been packed almost since day one, since tb« word has gotten out to students.” said Paul Frantz, coor dinator of the iiitiimi.itinii 'I i-i li nology Center. Frantz said in rebuttal Since fall term, computer labs have been battling crowds of peo ple to access computers, laser printing, Internet connections and e-mail at counts at no addt tionai charge. Manv labs have established waiting lists during the busiest tune of the day "When you consider how many thousands of students there are on campus, there is a short age of facilities available," Frantz said "We have a long wav to go."
