put on a clinic in
handing the Ohio State But keyes their
worst loss in 48 veers, 63-14. Penn State
also scored the most points vs Ohio State
since Michigan tallied H6 points in 1902.
The Lions offense showed perfect bal
ance, tallying 286 yards rushing and
passing for 572 yards of total yards.
Penn State's defense was strong, limit
ing Ohio State to 12 first downs. 214
yards in offense, grabbing three interrup
tion* and recording four sacks

Although the final score
was 35-29. the Lions were well in control,
Indiana trailed 35-14 with 149 left on the
clock, and made it interesting, posting two
touchdowns in the time remaining.
During the game, the Lions were whis
tled fur only five penalties, hut two came
at crucial moments. An 89-vard punt
return for a touchdown by Mike Archie
was called bar k (illegal use of hands) as
was Brian Gcdzheiser’s 75-yard fumble
return for a touchdown (face mask).
