II games are your thing
II you don't want to leave cam
pus, show up at the EMU R»c
Center with your Duck Bucks in
hand and you can have some ol
the cheapest underage entertain
ment around — be it pool, bowl
ing or foosball
The only thing the Rec Center
needs is a bar (but you can
smoke here)
II video games are more suit
able. do like Alice and visit Wun
derland another place where
your Duck Bucks will make you
look richer than you are
Wunderland, in the Fifth Street
Public Market, is the pedect to
(ind out what everybody is having
such a hissy (it about in the way
ol violent video games "Mortal
Kombat” and "Lethal Enforcer"
may keep Tipper Gore fans
away, but those with you have
enough sense to realize that
video games are games will
enjoy.
But it a beer-and-something
else-mix is your thing
Beer and music are best seen
together at the EMU Beer Gar
dens. it not because the bands
are usually good, then because
there's no cover (unless it's the
fine you would have to pay (or a
take ID nabbed by those neat
OLCC officers who were there
last week).
The Beer Gardens, which are
almost every Friday, have free
chips from 4 to 5 pm, a perfect
complement to the fine choices of
beer you have to choose from,
too
But if you want to be seen
(maybe because you're single
this Valentine's week) and you're
in the mood for pool, pinball,
dancing or. especially, cheap
beer, then Guido's is the place,
of course
Be it a Tuesday night for 25
cent beers, dollar mug night
Thursday nights, ladies drinks for
99 cents Saturday night, or just
twice as much alcohol as usual in
a normal drink, then this is the
place.
If you're looking for more ambi
ence, the 46-ounce steins of
(good) beer around the corner at
Taste of Germany still can't be
beaten, especially during happy
hour in the day
But if you’re looking for privacy
and that couch is really sounding
good, get a $4 half-rack of Blitz
Wemhard bottles at Albertson's
and sit around at home with a
cordless phone in one hand (Blitz
m the other) and call KWVA DJs
at 346-0645 and request songs
all night. They'll appreciate you're
listening to 88.1 FM, campus
radio. Really.
for your Valentine.
One dozen arranged for $39.95.
