UNIVERSITY UPDATE
• Thu On'jjon Children's Choir
will perform at a seasonal open
house at the University Museum
of Art at 2:30 p.m Dec 12
The choir, whic h is made up
of children from around the com
munity will perform songs from
around the world University
music. Professor Randall Moore
will direc t The event is free* and
open to the public.
Two clowns. Sparky and
Mitch, will also perform a series
of skits and puppet shows celled
"Kiddlv Jinx" ot 1:45 and 3:15
p.m.
The open house will also open
two art exhibitions. "Robert
Raushenberg: The Stoned Moon
Series" is a collection of 29 lith
ographs on loan from the San
Francisco Museum of Modern
Art. The second exhibition will
lie the second in a series of four
exploring the work of the late
Oregon painter David McCosh.
Both exhibits will be on display
until Feb. 13.
Guest curator Craig Chesire, a
Portland State University pro
fessor of art will give a gallery
talk on the McCosh exhiht at 2
p.m. Dec:. 12.
The Museum of Art is regular
ly open from noon to 5 p.m

anthropology, will give a short
talk on his book Chiefs and Chief
Tinders Indian Relations at Fort
Sez Ferre, 1818 1855. The hook
traces the lives of the Forst Nez
Perce fur traders and the Middle
Columbian Indian tribes.
