on. She has been active in advocacy fix the rights of indigenous
eoples of I-at in America. She holds a PhD from Cornell Univer
ty and has lectured widely throughout I -itin American and the
United States.
The GTF will assist Arvclo limine/ in teaching two courses
during the spring term of 1994. consisting of a huge undergradu
ate class entitled, ‘Constitutional Rights and Hum .in Rights The
Indigenous Peoples of Amazonia" and a smaller graduate seminar
•nutlcd, 'Environmentalism ami Indigenous Rights. 1 atm America

To qualify, candidates should be enrolled as a full-tune
graduate student at the University of Oregon in a field related to
Arvelo-Jiminc/.'s expertise; possess a strong interest in issues
dated to human rights and indigenous people; and demonstrate
