Over the past year or so. spoofs have become
almost a film genre unto themselves.
Most recently, the two Naked Gun movies and
Robin Hood: Man in Tights come to mind.
Whereas Mel Brooks laughed at all Robin Hood
films in existence. Fatal Instinct launches itself
at the bottomless pit of erotic thrillers.
Carl Reiner directs this most recent venture into
the realm of spoofdom. and nearly pulls it off.
There are so many allusions to both Basic
Instinct and Sliver, that the film often loses itself
