POLICE BEAT
The following incidents were reported to the
University Office of Public Safety and the Eugene
police department Oct 11 -20
• A theft was reported on Franklin Boulevard
and East 11th Avenue Oct 11 According to police
reports. <H> sheets of contact paper were stolen out
of a locker. The paper was worth $55 and was
going to la* used for photography.
• A $.100 bicycle was reported stolen on the not)
block of East 10th Avenue Or! 11
• A bicycle was reported stolen from 14th
Avenue and University Street Ot.1 14 According
to police reports, a female student had locked her
bike at Geritngnr Hall and came back and found
her bike stolen. The bike was worth $370
• A student reported n $100 bicycle stolen on
the 1300 block of East 15th Avenue Oct 14
According to polite reports, the student had
l<» ked the bike outside a dorm for a period, and
upon returning, be found the trike was gone.
• A student go! a < nation for prohibited fire
works on the 1500 block of Hilyard Street Oct. 16.
According to polit e reports, an officer observed a
group of men that was tearing down street signs
between 17th Avenue and Ferry Street The men
took off when they saw the officer, hut another
officer managed to stop them and found prohibit
ed fireworks in of the men's pot kets
• A 21-year-old male was t ited for prohibited

Avenue ()< t lti According to police reports, an
officer responded to a loud stereo, which was more
than 100 feet from the house the male lived in
When the officer wanted to speak to the male, the
music was so loud it was impossible to get the
male’s attention.
• A 10-year-old male was cited for driving
under the influent e and careless driving on 14th
Avenue and Kincaid Street Oct 16.
• A female student reported her wallet stolen on
the 1500 block of Kim aid Street Oi l 16 Accord
ing to police reports, she left her bat kpack in one
of the campus buildings and returned after 15 min
utes. finding the wallet stolen The wallet con
tained a small amount of money and some identi
fication cards
• A second-degree theft and a criminal mischief
of a vehicle were reported on 15th Avenue anti
Moss Street Ot t 16 According to police reports.
a female student found her roof-rack stolen and
damage to the roof of her car The loss amounted
to $500.
• A 20-year-old male Lane Community College
student was issued a citation for minor falsely rep
resenting age and vising a invalid driving license
on the 1900 block of Fast tlth Avenue Oct 16
According to police reports, the student had
altered his driving license to be able to buy beer
• A second -degree burglary- was reported on the
700 block of Fast 19th Avenue Oct. 17. According
to police reports, a suspect broke into a house and
stole two bicycles, each worth $000.
• Two transients were each issued a citation for
animal neglect on the 1600 block of West Kith
Avenue Oct. 18 According to police reports, an
officer arrived at the premises after a phone call
about harking dogs. The dogs were locked in a
Volkswagen bus and had been unattended for a
long time. The dogs had not been provided food or
water, and the officer was about to call animal con
trol when the owners arrived. One of the owners
was extremely intoxicated and was issued a cita
tion for minor in possession of alcohol.
• Two University students wore arrested for
criminal trespass on 1 3th Avenue and Alder Street
()i t I'l According to police reports, the two stu
dents were inside of the 7-Klevon store to huv hot
pretzels When the clerk told them that they did
not sell pretzels, they refused to leave.
• A University professor reported his parking
permit sticker stolen from the parking lot on 14th
Avenue and Alder Street Oct. 10 The parking per
mit was worth $108.
• A 10 year old student was cited for minor in
possession and false information to the police on
the 1400 block of Alder street Oct. 10. According
to police reports, the student was contacted when
walking around intoxicated. The student didn’t
show the of fit er anv identification, but the officer
saw that tin* student had his wallet on him and
asked to see it. The wallet included two different
Ilfs, and the student admitted that one of the iden
tifications was his brother’s, which he used to buy
alcohol with. The student was taken into jail for
aggressive conduct.
