Four very talented musicians make up Tripping Daisy: Tim DeLaughter on lead vocals. Bryan YVakelarid on drums. Mark Pirro on bass, and YVes Berggren on guitar. The music on Bill is not simi lar to anything that has come before it musically. Lyrically, the subject matter of Bill range from premature ejaculation to troubled relationships between father and son. Most of the songs, which were penned by DeLaughter. are reflective and enlightened without being over ly political. The first track on Bill, "My Umbrella.'" is an upbeat pop song that is so catchy you will lie singing it in philosophy class Iwfore you even know the name of the song. Next is the frenzied song "One Through Four." about pre mature ejaculation — the fast pace of the song simulates the act. In the song '"Brown Eyed Picket Boy." DeLaughter pre sents his view of what so< lety would have been like if we had not destroyed ourselves through technology and materialism Contrary to the way that it sounds, the name Tripping Daisy is not a reference to an acid trip; it is the name of a fic tional character that DeLaughter and his girlfriend created The name describes Daisy's trek through life, and Delaughter says is in no way meant to pro mote drug use. There are more important things in life, so pay your rent, pay your phono bill, and if you have money left over after you finish grocery shopping, buy Bill by Tripping Daisy.
