And with the Pacific-10 Conference Cham pionships beginning next Friday in Berkeley, Calif.. Oregon is praying for the sun to stick a round. Although it seems the Dm ks' Pai 10 squad is sot, the team still lacks an NCAA automatic qual ifier. If Oregon is going to get a national qualifier, it will prnha bly have to happen Saturday The weather should be nice, and the meet tends itself to individual performances. Lack of team scor ing and strong competition give participants in the meet ideal conditions to set personal records The Ducks have already qual ified athletes in nearly every event for the Pac-lOs. Oregon still lacks qualifiers in the 5,000, 10,000, shot put, hammer and javelin, but head coach Hill Turn to TWILIGHT, Page 8A una for creative (politely bizarre) hard-working (procrastinating) people to fill staff positions for the l‘W3-^4 academic year Posts are available for editors, writers, pliotogra phers, graphic artists, and advertising personnel No previous fourivilistic experience necessary.
