The men have won 17 of the last 1H dual meets between the two schools, and the women have won 14 of Hi meets against Washington The women will ki< k off the day at 12:10 pm with the javelin This will be Oregon fans' first chance to see Ashley Selman compete for the Ducks ill a team format. Selman won the NCAA title ill javelin in 190(1 while competing for USC After a year off. Selman is expected to bo one of Oregon's top s< orers this season. In the long jump, Kelly Blair will likely be the favorite after setting the school rei ord in the heptathlon last weekend With the absence of a heptathlon at Saturday's meet. Blair will also compete in thu 100 and the high jump. The most competitive events in the women's competition will lie in the 4x100 and 4x400 relay events La Re i no Woods. Camara Jones, Lisa Hedwell and Shawna Krasowski make up the 4x100 team Jones will also < ompele in the 400-meter event for which she earned all-Ameri<en honors last season Jones will run in the event Saturday for the first time this season The men's portion of the meet will begin nt 12 U) p in with the hammer. Freshman standout Ray Livingston will compete in the pole vault and the long jump early in the meet, giving the fans a look at the future of the Ore gon team. Some more recognizable Ore gon far es will appear later in the meet with Heath Howington in the shot put. Kric White and Jason Walton in the high jump, Todd nleakney and Devon Hoses in the triple jump and Ronnie Harris in the 200.
