Ducks to face UW, WSU
The Oregon softball learn will travel to Washington this weekend
to face Washington and Puget Sound in doubleheaders Saturday and
Sunday before returning for its home opener
The Dui ks are coming off a Spring Break road trip during which
they went 6-7 and evened out their overall record at 11-11 and 3-3 in
the Pacific-10 Conference. The Ducks opened the trip with a dou
bleheader split against California and sweeps against Stanford and
St Mary's before they lost six of their final seven games.
The but ks were led on offense on the trip by freshman shortstop
Kathy Stahl and junior catcher Laura Schmidt. Schmidt was named
Put -10 Player of the Week After the Washington trip, the Ducks will
return to play Portland State on April 9. which will be their first of
six home doubleheaders in April
