By Dave Charbonneau

The three men's basketball
players who were suspended
from the toam by coach |erry
Green practiced with the Ducks
Monday, but Green is still not
sure if they will play Saturday
against Oregon State at
McArthur Court.
Green said before Oregon's
practice on Monday that he had
not yet made a decision on the
fates of Andre Collier. Clyde Jor
dan and Johnnie Reece. The
three were sent back to Eugene
during the Ducks' weekend road
trip in Arizona for being out past
curfew early Friday morning.
‘ The rest of my coaching staff
have been out recruiting, so we
haven't had a chance to sit down
and talk about the incident,"
Green said. ."The situation will

Drexler on
sidelines
with strain
PORTLAND (AH) — Clyde
Drexler will he sidelined for at
least 10 days to two weeks with
a strained tendon in his left
hamstring, the Portland Trail
Blazers said Monday.
Drexler, 29, suffered the
injury early in the fourth quarter
of the Blazers' 122-110 loss at
Boston Sunday night. He was
examined by team physician
Bob Cook on Monday.
No decision has been made as
to whether Drexler will be
placed on the injured list, team
spokesman |ohn Uishway said.
Drexler, Portland’s team cap
tain, will miss at least five
games, beginning with Tuesday
night’s home contest against
Pacific Division leader Phoenix.
If he is out two weeks, he will
miss seven games and would
not return until Portland’s home
contest against New Jersey
.March 15.
Drexler, in his 10th NBA sea
son. is experiencing his most
injury-prone year. Tbe Blazers'
all-time leading scorer already
has missed nine games because
of a sore right knee.
He underwent arthroscopic
surgery on the knee before the
season.
Drexler's career previously
had been remarkably injury free.
The most games he has missed
because of injury has been nine
in the 1989-90 season.
There has been speculation
that Drexler’s long season a year
ago may have made him more
susceptible to injury this year.
The Blazers made It to the NBA
Finals and played into June, and
Drexler then played through the
summer as a member of the gold
medal-winning U.S. Olympic
team.
